May 13, 4-9pm at Free Spirits Yoga
There have been many requests made to do this traditional frame drum making workshop. Audrey will guide you through the process of making this beautiful and powerful sacred object. In this workshop you will create the drum of your choice. Audrey will send you a link to where you can purchase the materials from a sustainable source so that you may choose exactly the size, hide and type of drum you would like to create. The day of the workshop Audrey will guide you in the process of its creation. She will cover what drums are used for, how to care for them, making the drum and other important information.
Drumming connects us to the Spirit World and to our ancestors in ways that only the drum can reveal to us. Once made you will develop a personal relationship with your drum.
Registration for workshop is non-refundable $50 due by April 8th plus materials cost explained below. Once you have registered you will be sent a link so that you may purchase your drum making materials.
Drum making materials can range from $50ish for a 12" cow or deer hide drum up to $200 for much larger drums with more rare hides. You will also need a few inexpensive tools to craft the drum that will be included in the materials list.
***This will be a potluck dinner event.
